Background
Electric8 (affectionately known as E8) is a hands-on group of product and growth specialists with offices in Singapore and Jakarta. We help companies in SE Asia build the right digital experiences and scale them systematically on the right channels. Among the few in the region pioneering a test-and-learn approach underpinned by research and data, we’ve worked with some pretty big clients like Capitaland, gaming gear giant Razer, the Discovery Network media conglomerate, as well as some of the region’s fastest growing startups such as Indonesia’s Tiket.com and One Animation, makers of the popular childrens’ cartoon the Oddbods.

To help us with our next growth phase and targets, we’re looking for a talented Growth and Data Intern to support our growth leads and teams on helping clients find systematic ways to attract, convert and retain users. This job could lead to a full-time position at E8.

What you’ll get to do on the internship
You will support on the following activities (but not be limited to):
- Data:
- use customer insight, statistical analyses, growth modelling, cohorts and analytics to identify, validate, and prioritise customer problems, areas of drop off, and levers of growth
- Growth strategy & execution:
-identify, plan and execute a wide range of user acquisition strategies such as virality, SEM, SEO, content marketing and push marketing
- Growth ops:
- drive the process end-to-end via campaign design, implementation, optimisation as well as experiment documentation to store learnings and drive action

Who we’re looking for
While we prefer individuals with a business, computer science, statistics or psychology background, this application is open to people from all majors.
The ideal candidate is someone who is able to think critically, loves solving problems and is highly entrepreneurial. We value effective communicators with a positive work attitude and are motivated by the desire to learn, achieve and contribute.
We firmly believe that thirst for knowledge, work ethic and attitude are more important than a candidate’s existing skills or experiences. However, it will be a bonus if candidates have prior experience/expertise in the web and internet sector, particularly in:
- Data and statistical analysis (via spreadsheets, SQL, Python etc.)
- Digital marketing channels such as Facebook, Google, email marketing, CRM, etc.
Desired Start Date
We are looking for interns to start in July and we hope to find someone to start ASAP. Interviews and admission will happen on a rolling basis.
Schedule & Compensation
The intern must be able to commit to at least 3 months on a full-time basis. If relevant, arrangements can be made to accommodate the intern’s school timetable after the initial 3 months, but he/she will be expected to commit to at least 2 days per week. This is a paid internship in accordance with Singaporean Law.
