Job Description

Part Time Enrichment Teacher (The Eton Academy & YCS Programme)


Reporting to the Head of Teaching and Curriculum, you will prepare and deliver high-quality enrichment lessons that meet the learning needs of children.

Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for teaching and delivering enrichment programmes on a part-time basis
  • Teaching assignments will be given on an ad-hoc, needs basis
  • Teachers should use a variety of appropriate teaching and caring methods to ensure high quality learning takes place
  • Teach, coach and support children; nurturing their enthusiasm towards learning
  • Respect and value each child’s social, cultural and religious background and by example, provide mutual respect and tolerance
  • Mark and assess student work in a timely fashion; providing appropriate feedback
  • To complete all duties assigned by the management team
  • Teaching assignments can take place at various campuses
  • Lessons will take place at either The Eton Academy centres or at preschools under the EtonHouse group

Qualifications

  • At least one to three years of relevant teaching experience, with a strong professional track record
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Undergraduates with tutoring/teaching experience are welcome to apply
  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm in interacting with children
  • Possess working knowledge and expertise of the Singapore education system
  • Creative, meticulous and driven individual
  • Good time management, ability to work independently
  • Collaborator with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible, and able to manage change and ambiguity well
  • Experience in the implementation of an Inquiry model of teaching and learning is a plus
