ECOPONICS is a training provider that provides Science and Environmental Education Programs to Primary/ Secondary Schools in Singapore. We believe that hands-on learning helps students to learn better and increases their interest in learning Science and Environmental topics.
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals who are either interested in and/or considering teaching as a career, seeking to make a difference in the students’ lives. As our Science programs have numerous hands-on activities, you will be trained in executing the activities and also given the opportunity to experience managing a class and teaching students in schools. If you have knack for teaching or just figuring if teaching is your passion, Ecoponics will be a suitable place for you!
You will get to experience teaching in MOE Schools around Singapore.
• Planning and Conducting Science and Environmental Programmes for MOE Schools
• Conduct workshops and lessons for students in school.
• Develop new teaching resources for student activities (Science) - Lesson Plans, Learning Objectives, Slides, Worksheets etc.
• Provide reviews of the student’s progress through the course
• Research and develop new programme ideas
• Learn more about good classroom management for students
• Learn how to be an engaging teacher
Objectives:
• To be able to conduct your own lessons to classes of students in Schools confidently
• To learn how to have good classroom management
• To develop at least one new programme for Science and implement it in schools
• To review and improve current programme activities
