Disciplina Asset Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. – Software Developer (Intern)

The candidate will report to the COO and work closely with the CIO. Due to a flat hierarchy, the candidate will have a great amount of exposure to many aspects of the hedge fund business and to the interface between front and mid-office teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to enter and learn the basics of the industry. Depending on individual performance, there will be opportunities to extend the internship period and even to a full-time offer. Due to the nature of the role, only Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered.

Responsibilities include:

• Primarily support the Operations team in terms of optimization and development of current and future processes.
• Improve on the existing software’s design, analytics, coding and testing.
• Create new highly value-add applications to be used by both portfolio managers and operations teams.
• This is an evolving role and the complexity of undertaken projects will scale up according to your accomplishments.

Requirements include:

• You are pursuing a Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s majoring in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or data analytics.
• Fluency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python and C#.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL.
• Good scripting skills and experience in object-oriented development, good comprehension of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of financial markets/instruments is helpful but not required.
• Entrepreneurial with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
