Responsibilities:
- ELV System Installation: Supervise and coordinate the installation of low-voltage systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, fire alarm systems, intercoms, public address systems, data networks, and home automation systems.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team, ensuring that all ELV systems are installed correctly and in accordance with industry standards.
- Resource Management: Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and ensure the timely completion of ELV installation tasks.
- Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of ELV systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with project requirements.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all ELV installations meet the required standards and specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to ELV systems during the construction process.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other construction trades and contractors to ensure seamless integration and coordination of ELV systems with other building systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including as-built drawings, test reports, and documentation for all ELV installations.
- Health and Safety: Enforce safety procedures and regulations to create a safe working environment for the installation team and other personnel on the construction site.
- Client Interaction: Interact with clients and project stakeholders to provide updates on ELV system progress and address any client concerns or queries.
- Training: Provide training to end-users and maintenance personnel on how to operate and maintain ELV systems effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure that all ELV installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Hands on experience in ELV such as cabling (LAN, FIBER), CCTV/IP surveillance, access control
Requirements
- Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree
- Proven experience as a site supervisor or similar role in ELV installations and construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of ELV systems, including security, communication, audio-visual, and data networking systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to ELV installations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
