The Global Category Sourcing Buyer is a part of the Global Sourcing & Supplier Development (SSD) team based in Singapore. The team is working for Danone Water division in close relationship with the Country Business Units (CBU) SSD team.
The Global Category Sourcing Buyer will report to the Global Category CAPEX SSD Manager worldwide who is based in Singapore.
The Global Category Sourcing Buyer will act in two main areas, CAPEX purchasing and the Shield program coordinator globally. The role has a wide exposure to the external-Global CAPEX suppliers and internal-Worldwide SSD steering community on Shield.
Portfolio I: CAPEX, Approximately 50% of the time

Danone Water CAPEX team is managing couple hundred million EUR annually to support the company growth. This role is created to support the global CAPEX Category sourcing activities, which includes tendering & RFQ analysis, supplier negotiation, supplier performance management, project implementation, stakeholder engagement and alignment.
Job Mission
- Building and update the CAPEX data base;
- Support the Standardization of RFQ used for Tendering;
- Support the Supplier evaluation program;
- Support the study of water line supplier strategy and speed strategy;
- Manage the tendering and Negotiation, benchmark and analyse the detail cost drive.

Portfolio II: Shield coordinator 50% of the time

- Director SSD CBUs
- Shield coordinator CBUs
Shield is the key program to support the security of material supply in Danone Water business. Under this program, it contains 3 continuous activities – SEDEX, BCP and Contract management. Shield is applicable to all Danone Water business, covering more than 13 CBUs and ~4000 supplier base. The role of this job is to coordinate and animatethe Shield program in order to ensure that all our suppliers are compliant on the Shield.
Job Mission
- Follow up the data input from CBUs, analyse the data and provide the advice for the continuous improvement.
- Generate the report in for the top level meeting.
- Support the Manager and VP of SSD to animate the program and reach the yearly target.
