Education Trainer Job Description

Conduct virtual and physical workshops 

Overview

We seek freelance trainers with educational backgrounds to run our fun and engaging workshops for primary and secondary schools. Our workshops focus on cybersafety and digital well-being, teaching students and families how to be safe online and protect themselves from cyber risks such as cyberbullying, phishing scams, and fake news. 

Requirements

We are looking for freelance trainers who meet the following criteria:

• Excellent speaker and facilitator

• Experience conducting virtual and in-person workshops 

• Must be free on Saturday mornings (when required)

• Interactive style and energy to keep students engaged

• Confidence to answer questions and teachers' requests 

• Excellent time-keeping skills and reliable 

• Competent with online video streaming platforms, i.e. Zoom

• Ability to research and stay on top of topics relevant to the workshops

Preferred but not required:

• Familiar with cyber risks and online behaviors of children and teens, and topics such as digital citizenship

• Enjoy gaming, social media, and online space 

• Good understanding of how the internet works, apps, and online trends

Upcoming Assignments:

• Virtual webinars for students (45min)

• Virtual webinars for parents (60min)
