Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and exposure to various aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, employee onboarding, HR administration, and employee engagement initiatives. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in HR and looking to develop a strong foundation in HR practices.

 

Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in drafting job descriptions, posting job vacancies on job boards, and screening resumes.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Participate in interviews and provide feedback on candidates.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with background verification processes.

Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, employment contracts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Assist with the completion of new hire paperwork, including benefits enrolment and HR system updates.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Assist with maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • Support various administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and organizing HR documents.

HR Projects:

  • Participate in HR projects, such as process improvements, policy reviews, or HR system implementations.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends to support the team in staying up to date.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Recent graduates may also be considered.)
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in HR.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with HRIS or other HR software.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
