CT Smart Home Pte Ltd – Intern Interior Designer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the interior design team to assist in the conceptualization and development of design plans for school spaces, including classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Conduct research on current design trends, materials, and finishes to support the development of innovative design concepts.
• Create 2D and 3D visual representations of design ideas using design software and tools.
• Assist in site visits and document existing spaces for reference in design planning.
• Aid in selecting and sourcing furniture, fixtures, lighting, and decorative elements that align with the design vision and project requirements.
• Support the preparation of presentations, including mood boards, material boards, and sample boards, to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders.
• Assist in the coordination and management of design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and schedules.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design elements.
• Contribute to the maintenance of a design library, organizing and cataloguing samples, materials, and resources for easy reference.
• Provide general administrative support to the interior design team, such as organizing meetings, managing project documentation, and maintaining project files.

Requirements:

• Strong passion for interior design and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of current design trends, materials, finishes, and furniture suppliers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn from experienced professionals in the field.
