Company Profile

Collaro Classic Menswear is a retail start-up founded by 2 SMU alumnis with the goal of making quality custom menswear accessible to the everyday man - men of all shapes and sizes. Having established both an offline and online presence, we provide a wide range of product lines at our studio while our online platform currently allows customers to purchase custom shirts.

We’re very proud that our products are made in Singapore, and our vision is to sell to various international markets. With the support of SMU’s incubator programme, and having just been selected for Southeast Asia’s first of its kind “The Bridge Fashion Incubator” led by TaFf, we aim to accelerate our growth in the near future and build a global Singapore brand in the long term. To do so, we’re looking to hire a sales and operations associate who will first undergo a 3-month training and probation programme.

Just a heads up that paper qualifications do not matter to us if you have the skillsets for this job.

Job Description

We are looking for a Singaporean/PR sales and operations associate to work with us from 1 February to 30 April 2020, who will first undergo a 3-month training and probation programme.

Some of the key tasks you’ll tackle during your internship

Day to day

  • Create and provide a safe, welcoming and comfortable customer experience, and occasionally suggest how we can tweak our studio space and ambience to achieve this goal
  • For the customer-facing aspect of your role, you can expect to converse with customers, answer their questions, suggest items and fabrics where appropriate, and take body measurements
  • Processing of orders on a daily basis, monitor incoming products, ensure that production is on track
  • Conduct quality control checks for our products, and steam the clothes if necessary
  • Order fulfilment, which involves picking/packing and working with our delivery partners to fulfil local and international orders
  • Replying to customer queries via our communication channels (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp)

Key one-off projects

  • As we are expanding our team, you may be required to work on a space redesign project and source for the office furniture and equipment
  • Occasionally work on ad-hoc special projects as required by the team, such as hosting an event for a club

For us to bring you onboard, you’ll need to:

  • Be able to communicate comfortably in English, with customers from different age groups
  • Be able to work 5 days a week (2 Saturdays a month), ~45 hours a week (exclude lunch and dinner breaks)
  • Develop an understanding of what the brand stands for and be aligned with our aesthetic
  • Hardworking, flexible and resourceful, one who’s able to work with limited resources
  • Be responsible, and have a "no task too small“ mentality

Bonus:

  • If you have had 1 year working experience in fashion retail or a customer-facing role (especially menswear)
  • If you take a strong interest in classic menswear, or are willing to learn more about this industry
