Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join us as an Operations Intern. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in visitor services, heritage attraction operations, events, community engagement, and content creation.

You will support the day-to-day operations of a heritage attraction, engage with visitors from around the world, assist in the delivery of tours and events, and contribute to marketing initiatives through social media content and visitor insights. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, creating memorable experiences, and gaining exposure to both operations and marketing within the tourism and heritage sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily counter operations, including ticketing, visitor enquiries, and wayfinding, while delivering positive visitor experiences
  • Support tours, events, workshops, and community engagement activities
  • Participate in on-ground engagement activities and promotional campaigns, including mascot appearances and public activations where required
  • Support the team in creating social media content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, including capturing content during tours, events, and activations
  • Gather visitor feedback and conduct basic market research on visitor profiles, visitor behaviour, preferences, and engagement trends
  • Assist in compiling visitor feedback and operational observations to support business and marketing strategies
  • Track inventory and assist with operational and event logistics
  • Work closely with the team to ensure a seamless visitor experience
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, partners, and visitors
  • Support any ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Friendly, professional, and confident in interacting with visitors from diverse backgrounds
  • Enjoys engaging with people and delivering excellent customer service in a visitor-facing environment
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and participating in public engagement activities, activations, or events
  • Creative and familiar with social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok; basic content creation skills are an advantage
  • Observant and detail-oriented, with the ability to gather feedback and identify visitor trends or operational improvements
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages (especially Mandarin or dialects) are an advantage
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of initiative
  • Interest in tourism, heritage, culture, events, marketing, or community engagement is a bonus
  • Comfortable working weekends and public holidays when required by operational needs
