Design Intern (Multimedia & AI Support)
We are looking for a proactive and creative Design Intern to support the development of professional development (PD) e-learning courses for educators. This role offers hands-on experience in multimedia asset creation, AI-driven content generation, and light graphic design for digital learning environments.
You will work closely with an experienced instructional designer to help shape visually engaging and instructionally sound content. This includes generating visual and audio elements using AI tools, preparing assets for integration into e-learning platforms, and supporting documentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Multimedia Asset Creation: Assist in the production of course visuals using graphic design tools and AI-based image generation.
- AI Voiceover Support: Use AI voice tools to generate, edit, and organise narration for course modules.
- Image Sourcing & Graphic Editing: Source and refine images for educational themes; overlay graphics onto device mockups where needed.
- AI Prompting & Consistency: Use prompt engineering skills to guide AI tools (e.g., DALL·E, Bing Image Creator) to generate consistent visuals aligned with course content.
- Documentation & Task Tracking: Support the instructional designer in documenting workflows and maintaining an organised asset library.
Must-Have Skillsets
- Basic graphic design experience (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, DALL·E, Bing Image Creator, AI voiceover tools)
- Prompt engineering skills: able to create effective and consistent AI outputs
- Ability to overlay graphics on device mockups
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communicator with the ability to document and follow instructions precisely
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate
- Basic audio editing (e.g., Audacity)
- Caption writing or accessibility knowledge
- Familiarity with instructional design or EdTech terms
- Comfortable learning new tools and processes quickly
