Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers at bar or through beverage runners
  • Be well versed in spirits, liquors, and cocktails in terms of the different styles of beverages served and techniques required to craft the beverages
  • Be able to comfortably recommend wine, cocktail, or an aperitif to guests
  • Accurate recording of drinks ordered and process payment for guests
  • Ensure efficiency in daily set-up and closing
  • Monitor daily inventory as well as ensure restocking of ingredients
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, with recommendations and answering of enquiries
  • Upsell of drinks and bar snack items to guests
  • Maintain well-groomed, clean and professional appearance according to grooming standards
  • Assist the Manager in creation of classic and innovative drinks to exceed guests’ expectations
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene standards are met for all glassware, equipment and working area
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Prior experience in bartending operations an added advantage
  • Comfortable with numbers and cash handling
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Able and willing to work weekends, public holidays and on rotational shifts 
  • 5-day work week
