Champ Code Academy – Customer Acquisition Optimization Intern

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Customer Acquisition Optimisation Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing how leads interact with us across different channels (website, messages, calls, etc.), identifying why some convert and others don’t, and implementing strategies to increase conversion rates at every touchpoint.

This is a hands-on role — you may need to interact directly with leads, test new messaging, call customers, or adjust internal scripts and follow-ups to improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse customer behaviour and engagement across various entry points (e.g., website contact form, WhatsApp, inbound calls).

• Track lead responses and identify friction points or common objections in the conversion journey.

• Propose and implement strategies to optimise how leads are handled (e.g., faster follow-ups, script improvements, communication tone).

• Iterate frequently on messaging, follow-up timing, lead assignment, and call/response strategies.

• Call customers when needed to understand blockers and convert undecided leads.

• Maintain clear documentation of tests run, changes made, and their impact on conversion performance.

• Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and customer support to refine end-to-end customer experience.

• Report weekly on test iterations, key learnings, and conversion metrics.

Requirements

• Analytical mindset with the ability to test, measure, and adjust quickly.

• Strong communication skills and confidence in handling calls or direct customer communication.

• Comfortable working with basic CRM or tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, HubSpot, Google Sheets).

• Self-starter who enjoys continuous improvement and testing new ideas.
