BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERN
We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Intern to generate leads either by reaching out to our existing corporate customer based or by activating incoming customer enquiries. You will be responsible for influencing existing or potential customers to use our platform and services.
A successful Business Development Intern must be friendly, charismatic and persuasive. You must be able to understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will also be patient and cool-tempered to deal with rejection and tough questions.
The goal is to promote business growth by expanding the company’s clientele and upselling to existing customers.
Responsibilities
Reach out to our existing customer base to qualify potential key opportunities for upselling and increasing revenues by offering more services to existing customers
Onboard incoming Corporate Account enquiries from prospective corporate customers. You’re responsible for approving credit terms for corporate clients.
Using scripts, you’ll provide information about product’s features, prices etc. and present their benefits
Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
Persuade the customer to purchase by demonstrating how merchandise or services meet their needs
Record the customer’s personal information accurately in our CRM platform
Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
Keep records of calls, meetings and deals and record useful information
Requirements
Proven experience as business and sales development executive or similar sales role
Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas preferably over the phone
Working knowledge of relevant CRM software (i.e SalesForce, Zoho CRM, etc) and telephone systems
Excellent communication and presentation skills
You must love talking to people and getting deals is a thrill for you
Proficient in English
Skilled in negotiation, improvisation and dealing with hard questions
Persistent and results-oriented
Patient and able to handle customer rejection
High school diploma; BSc/Ba is a plus
