CareForWe is a student-led healthcare initiative based in Singapore, focused on community health education and early detection of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Our work spans:
Local Community Involvement Projects (LCIP) in Singapore, involving health screening and education at community centres and Active Ageing Centres (AACs), and
Overseas Community Involvement Projects (OCIP) under the Youth Expedition Project (YEP) framework, conducted in partnership with organisations across Southeast and East Asia.
CareForWe works closely with healthcare partners and a government-backed healthtech initiative to pilot early disease detection approaches in real community settings. Interns gain hands-on exposure to public health delivery, healthcare innovation, project execution, and overseas service learning, beyond classroom learning.
As a Special Projects Intern, you will support CareForWe’s health screening initiatives, education programmes, and pilot projects, with active involvement in both LCIP and OCIP.
This role combines on-ground participation with programme development. Completion of at least one LCIP is required before involvement in OCIP projects.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting planning and execution of LCIP health screening events
Assisting in the development of educational materials and workflows
Participating on-site during screenings and education sessions
Supporting pilot projects related to early CKD detection
Working with multiple teams to deliver LCIP activities and prepare for OCIP deployment
Kindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
