Job description & requirements
The Business Operations team plays a significant role in driving the strategy and execution of CardUp’s success. The team is involved in everything from optimising day-to-day decision making to tacking the most strategic decisions. As the Data Analyst of the team, you’ll be responsible for parsing large and complex data sets into clear, actionable inputs for informing decision making and owning the suite of reporting that exists across the business.
Responsibilities
- Create analytical reporting on broad topics from measuring the success of a Marketing campaign to the speed of our Sales process
- Build and distribute internal reports for all relevant stakeholders on KPI’s and metrics
- Critically analyse existing reporting landscape and suggest and implement improvements
- Own the data request framework; partnering with our Engineering team on more complex, long-term initiatives
- Maintain the integrity and reliability of company-wide reporting
- Provide analytical voice and point of view in strategic decision making
- Identify and recommend process improvements for optimising the efficiency of the business across all functions
Requirements
- A degree in computer science from a recognised university, business/finance influence is desirable
- 1-3 years experience in Data Analyst or related role with primary focus in SQL
- Experience translating data outputs into quantifiable metrics that are understood by non-technical partners
- Experience in dealing with senior and C-suite stakeholders is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbally
- Previous start-up and/or SaaS experience will be advantageous
- Strong interest in Fintech is required and existing knowledge of the industry is desirable
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and quality.
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
