Position Overview

As the Head Chef, you will be the creative force and culinary leader of the kitchen. You will be responsible for leading your team and overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu development, and kitchen operations. Your expertise, leadership skills and ability to create exceptional dining experiences will drive the success, P&L and reputation of the restaurant.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute a creative and innovative menu, showcasing your culinary expertise and a deep understanding of flavours, techniques and ingredients.
  • Manage and lead the kitchen staff, including training and scheduling, fostering a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and taste are consistently met, maintaining consistency across all dishes.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating and garnishing, ensuring proper techniques and timing.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering and receiving ingredients, monitoring stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement seasonal menus, specials and promotions, keeping offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new cooking techniques and culinary innovations, incorporating them into the menu development and kitchen practices.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous learning among the kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship opportunities.
