SUMMARY

• You will be in charge of accounts payable and accounts receivable under the Shipping business. Be responsible for bank reconciliations and assist in AP And AR ledger review.

THE ROLE

• Daily processing and follow-up of invoices for all Shipping-related including but not limited to Freight, Time Charter, Bunkers & Coolants and other secondary costs such as port costs, demurrage costs, broker commissions, Ship-managers’ Costs and other Fleet-related and non-trade costs
• Prompt raising of invoices for Time Charter and related costs recharge for the Shipping entities
• Monitoring receipts
• Daily maintenance of the bank ledgers for the Shipping entities
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist in interim and year-end audit samplings and preparation of audit confirmations
• Assist with ad hoc tasks related to Shipping assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree/ diploma in accountancy or currently taking Accountancy qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
• 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Industry experience in Shipping is preferred but not a prerequisite
• Self-driven, proactive and holds a positive learning attitude
