BSC Studios – Art Exhibition Assistant

The Art Exhibition Assistant will also be involved in the selling and promotion of the artworks on display. The candidate needs to be someone who is polite, passionate, and flexible.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Handle/promote/recommend artwork to customer

- Managing of artwork, including the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions

- Assist with customers with artwork information, artist information and sale/retail of the artwork

- Coordinate the post-sales delivery/shipping of artwork

- Responsible for pre/post-sales support, exhibition maintenance and daily operations in the venue

- Coordinate daily sales/stock matters with artist and venue owners

- Ensure all visitors to the exhibition have a pleasant experience – by maintaining the cleanliness of the exhibition venue, providing accurate price lists and artist information, giving gallery tours and generally creating a welcoming environment

- Cultivate new art buyers/collectors who have not previously purchase with the artist

- Convert first time clients into repeat customer

- Develop tailored and targeted offers to various client segments based on history, preferences and price

- Ensure timely follow up with clients before/during/after purchase

- Generate accurate and timely delivery order/invoices to artist, venue owner and customers.

- Respond to email inquiries and other inquiries 

- Maintain up to date and comprehensive sales, stock and customer information

- Build customer service relationship for effective and comprehensive coverage

- Update Artist daily on sales and stocks

JOB HOLDER’S SPECIFICATIONS

- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English 

- Thorough knowledge of the artist represented by the Gallery

- Must possess self-discipline, highly independent and resourceful

- Able to withstand work pressure and customer’s demands

- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Able to correspond in writing with customers, suppliers and internal team members

- Able to work on weekend and public holidays

- Ability to treat sensitive information with appropriate discretion

- Punctuality in all aspects of the position
