Brewin Design Office is a design firm based in Hong Kong and Singapore that was founded in 2012. We are a studio dedicated to crafting bespoke architectural and interior design interventions in Asia.
Our extensive exploration of programmatic function, fabrication methodologies and construction processes forms the framework of our design concepts. We perceive each design intervention not only as a collective whole, but as a melange of moments, meditated details and nuanced gestures – a dynamic assemblage of smaller scale interventions. Through this delicate straddling of big picture and minutiae, we create bespoke spaces that reflect our philosophy and sense of aesthetics.
Our approach to design and craft is characterised by an artisanal nature as it is driven by cross-disciplinary collaborations with artisans and builders around the world. Drawing from the expertise of our international partners, we offer design services that encompass all scales, ranging from a piece of furniture to part of a building.
Comprising a team of dedicated designers from Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia, Brewin Design Office’s cultural, residential and commercial projects have been widely published by internationally renowned design publications. The firm was shortlisted in 2016 for Design Council Singapore’s President’s Design Award.
Brewin Design Office is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our team of architects and interior designers, based in our Singapore office. The ideal candidate should be a final year Graphic Design degree or diploma student, or fresh graduate looking for internship experience.
This role will commence in August 2018 and will comprise 2 phases – Phase 1 being 3 months, with the possibility to extend to Phase 2 for an additional 3 months.
Internship Responsibilities:
- Creation of portfolio and other marketing collateral
- To support graphic design aspects of on-going projects
- Organising and cataloging design library
- Other ad-hoc project work as assigned
Requirements:
- Fluent with:
- InDesign layouts
- WIX website development (or similar)
- Advanced usage of:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Prior experience in branding exercises
- A creative thinker with strong visual design skills and an eye for typography, colour, composition and layout
- Passion for visual storytelling
- Creative thinking to produce new ideas and concepts for collateral
- Enthusiastic, quick and goal oriented
- Excellent English writing skills
- Ability to multitask and to support our teams in various project related tasks
- Excellent team player
- Resourceful
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be eligible to work in Singapore (Singaporean/PR/Student Pass)
