Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for outgoing business development interns to join our growing business development team, leading the charge on direct sales for Singapore and the wider APAC region. With the guidance of our founders and Business Development Manager, you will be directly involved in delivering growth in the F&B, accounting, and hospitality SMB and mid-market segment.

You will become immersed in the local SMB scene, using network and research skills to engage new customers. You’ll be making the first impression, introducing SMBs to the future of financial automation with Bluesheets, and driving our business forward by adopting a customer centric approach to growth. 

Working closely in this small, close-knit team you are customer-obsessed, have a knack for building relationships, and above all are an efficient operator that thrives in a fast-paced environment. Our team fosters a culture of open communication, cross-functional teamwork and a strong sense of ownership. This means you will have a lot of autonomy, learn a lot and have the support of a collaborative team behind you! What you’ll do

  • Research and execute lead generation methods to source and engage SMBs in Singapore and APAC

  • Be the first point of contact for our prospects through email, phone, direct messages and other communication channels

  • Build strong relationships with your prospects and convert them to qualified leads and clients 

  • Become an expert in identifying challenges that SMBs face, and suggest ways for them to improve their processes with our solution 

  • Brainstorm creative initiatives with marketing to hack user growth

  • Communicate product/process needs by working directly with product and customer success teams 

  • Work on ad-hoc projects to help move the business forward 

About you

  • Past experience in sales, partnerships or customer success. If no experience, wdisplay a strong willingness to learn and innovate! 

  • Track record of success generating deals through in person sales and cold calling

  • Exposure to a sales or account management processes

  • A growth mindset, constantly looking for ways to improve and supercharge your skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, you’re comfortable striking up a conversation with anyone

  • A genuine passion for bringing solutions to customer problems; we are transforming the way SMBs do business and want to work exclusively with individuals who love bringing joy to our users

  • Knowledge of finance, back-office admin or hospitality tech & operations preferred but not essential

  • An ambition to grow with this company! You are constantly striving to improve your ability to sell, manage and grow to achieve bigger things

Nice to Haves

  • High growth or early-stage start-up experience

  • Experienced in sales or customer support with B2B SaaS or similar technology
