Job Description

As a hospitality intern, you will have the opportunity to be rotated among the following departments to understand and experience first hand on the way how a four-star hotel function.

1. Front Office

  • Ensure that all guests are checked in to the hotel efficiently and accurately
  • Update all guest folios to accurately bill them at check out
  • Deliver best guest experiences at all times during their stay in the hotel
  • Attend to all guest queries and requests
  • Assist in any other duties when required by the Front Office Manager
  • Provide feedback from Guests to Front Office Manager for action

2. F&B

  • Assist the restaurant Manager in restaurant daily operations
  • To provide food and beverage service to customers
  • To take orders, serve set and clear tables
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries

3. Housekeeping

  • make beds daily and change bed linen
  • vacuum carpets, floors and upholstery
  • clean bathrooms and supply with fresh towels and toiletries
  • check and restock tea, coffee, sugar, milk and mini bar supplies
  • make sure that televisions, radios, lights and air conditioning equipment are working
  • report to a supervisor when articles are left behind by guests, if there is damage to rooms or if any items appear to have been stolen
  • take laundry and dry cleaning orders from guests.

4. Reservations

  • Ensure all reservations calls and emails are attended promptly and professionally
  • Updating of all reservation information into property management system accurately and promptly
  • Work closely with internal departments on reservations requirements
  • Provide administrative support to department
  • Attend to guest or staff request and enquiries regarding telephone calls or other telephone related matters
