Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • BPX Documentation and SOP Management: Support the creation, review, and updating of internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring they align with BBP’s operational standards and governance frameworks.
  • Governance, Compliance & Internal Audits: Assist in enforcing corporate governance policies. Help compile evidence, maintain records, and prepare documentation for ISO audits (such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) and internal safety reviews.
  • Document Control & Record Management: Maintain accurate tracking of BPX and governance-related compliance files. Ensure strict version control, document accessibility, and data integrity.
  • Safety & Compliance Support: Participate in governance meetings, assist in the preparation of safety/governance documents (e.g., Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, permits), and contribute to safety communication materials.
  • Continuous Improvement Projects: Assist in identifying process gaps or inefficiencies and suggest improvements for workflow optimization while ensuring regulatory compliance is not compromised.

Learning Outcomes and Objectives:

  • Gain a clear understanding of BBP’s Business Process Excellence (BPX) framework and its link to compliance and safety management.
  • Learn how to develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance documentation.
  • Understand the fundamentals of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) systems.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying potential risks, inefficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Develop teamwork, communication, and reporting skills through collaboration with the BPX and Compliance teams.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Ability to assist in SOP documentation, compliance tracking, and internal audits.
    • Familiarity with ISO standards, data recording methods, and document control systems.
    • Understanding of risk assessment processes, safety documentation, and compliance workflows. 
  • Soft Skills:
    • Improved communication and coordination skills within cross-functional teams. 
    • Enhanced critical thinking and problem-solving through real project exposure.Strengthened sense of responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail in handling compliance data.

Requirements:

  • Interest in Safety, Compliance, and Process Improvement – Keen to learn how safety and compliance systems are implemented in a professional engineering environment.
  • Good Communication and Teamwork – Able to interact with different departments and support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Attention to Detail – Careful in reviewing and updating documents, reports, and SOP templates.
  • Organizational Skills – Capable of managing multiple files, tracking revisions, and maintaining documentation accuracy.
  • Proactive and Responsible Attitude – Takes initiative in learning tasks, completing assignments on time, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Basic Computer Literacy – Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
  • Analytical Mindset – Able to identify potential process gaps or compliance issues and suggest improvements.
