Bacco Wines is an importer and online shop for boutique Italian wines. In fact, BACCO is the Italian wine specialist in Singapore with over 300 wines from all the different regions
Our extensive portfolio is available to order online at BaccoWines.com with next-day delivery for most orders. Some customers self-collect from our centrally located office but we do not have a shopfront.
We work with small-production wineries (family-run estates, often passed down through many generations) who focus on organic farming and 'healthy' winemaking. Avoiding (or minimising) the use of chemicals in the vineyard and cellar means less/no 'next-day headaches' and we are proud to educate wine-lovers on the importance of choosing high-quality wine over cheap chemically-enhanced products.
Our wineries prioritise local and endemic grapes, so many are rare and unknown. This gives us a fun challenge - to introduce wine lovers in Singapore to less famous grapes/wines. We run a lot of events to share the stories behind the wines and meet as many of our customers as possible, to develop loyalty and a long-term relationship.

You will support our small team in a number of different business areas, giving you the chance to learn more about a variety of roles within any company.
A key role will be marketing; assisting with promotions, emails, social media. All members of the team support order fulfilment; taking or helping with wine orders, packing products, liaising with the courier and customer, post-sales inventory. You will also be involved in wine tasting events; preparation, wine pouring, sales. On average, we have some type of wine tasting event 4 to 8 times a month, usually in the evening. Staff rotate helping at these events, depending on everyone's schedules. There may be some weekend events.
Our website and social media are key to our business development but so is our passion for wine and stories behind the wines. Anyone joining our team needs to be inquisitive and keen to learn. Knowledge of Italian wine (or even wine in general) is not compulsory but a desire to learn about wine and an appreciation of quality products is essential.
Good computer skills are important, especially excel. A basic understanding of website coding and/or graphic design would be a benefit, but can be learnt on the job. Flexibility is crucial in a small company, as the job scope will be very fluid.
