Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Digital Communications Intern to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a passion for digital media, content creation, videography and video editing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in videography, video editing, and adept at filming interviews, and possess design skills using the Adobe creative suite, or similar. Additionally, a flair for copywriting for websites and LinkedIn is essential.

As EDDC is an innovative, research-driven organisation, the candidate should ideally have some knowledge of the Biomedical Sciences and/or the biotech industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Video Production:
   • Storyboard and plan the execution of videography projects.
   • Film and edit interviews, events, and promotional content.
   • Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and execute engaging video content.
2. Design and Visual Content:
   • Create visually appealing graphics, images, and multimedia content using Adobe creative software or similar.
   • Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
3. Copywriting:
   • Develop compelling and concise copy for the website, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
   • Collaborate with team members to maintain a consistent and engaging online voice.

Requirements:

• Experience in videography, including with use of equipment and set-up. Experience with filming interviews and events will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or other).
• Strong design skills and experience using Adobe creative software or similar
• Owns or has access to necessary design and video editing software.

• Creativity and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
• Strong written communication skills with a knack for crafting compelling copy.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn or other social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of biomedical sciences and/or the biotech industry and/or drug discovery
