About AVPN
With over 600 members, AVPN is a unique and extensive funders’ network based in Singapore committed to building a vibrant and high-impact social investment community across Asia, including social finance, impact investing and gender-lens investing. As an industry network, AVPN embraces all types of engagement to improve the effectiveness of members across the Asia Pacific region from hosting the region’s largest annual gathering for 1,200 social investors and ecosystem builders at the AVPN Conference in 2019, with 7,500 registered delegates at the 2020 virtual conference, to workshops, roundtables, webinars, and regular member meetups. AVPN also produces research reports that support ecosystem development, hosts a platform to match the financial and non-financial resources of investors with investee organizations, and runs an extensive communication platform which includes the AVPN website, a newsletter that is received by over 17,000 subscribers, and a strong social media presence.
AVPN is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to assist in daily management of the AVPN brand and communication platforms. You will report directly to the Director of Marketing and be integrally involved with the AVPN team, getting an overview of the fast-growing social investment sector in Asia.
- Assist with AVPN Social Media platforms including designing digital assets, daily posting and monthly analysis, and coordinating with AVPN members to promote network events and initiatives
- Coordinate content creation for AVPN Blog (writing and editing original AVPN articles as well as liaising with AVPN members for guest contributions)
- Manage AVPN and member outreach campaigns by being an integral part of launch initiatives and signature events
- Support AVPN Events through digital marketing and content creation
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks including video and podcast editing
Requirements
- Ideal candidate will have some marketing, social media, content creation and/or graphic design experience
- Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with external audiences
- Be resourceful in terms of finding sources and asking questions on their feet
- Be detail-oriented, thorough and meticulous
- Be used to collaborate vertically and laterally with leadership, colleagues and clients
- Have a strong interest in and passion for philanthropy and social investment
- Strong written and spoken English
- Firm MS Office; Adobe InDesign skills are a plus
- Candidate must either be an undergraduate or postgraduate; ideally with a focus on communications, graphic design, marketing or social investment-related areas
- Knowledge in graphic and/or web design is a plus.
