Asian Geographic is looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join the team as a Content Marketing Intern
This internship will provide you with the experience of working in a Media, Publication and Events company. You will assist our marketing manager in planning and executing inbound marketing activities for Asian Geographic magazines and the physical and virtual versions of our dive show, Asia Dive Expo (ADEX).
What you will do:
- Plan monthly social media calendar and strategy for AG magazines (Asian Geographic, Asian Diver, and Scuba Diver Australasia), ADEX 2021 show and ADEX Pixel Expo
- Manage our social media platforms including posting, curation and engagement
- Manage individual social media marketing campaigns for community engagement (e.g. giveaways), coordinating requirements between various internal stakeholders
- Produce and manage video content for social media
- Collaborate and manage with editorial/marketing teams for online news blogs (www.adex.asia)
- Perform keyword management and search engine optimisation
- Monitor conversion and traffic and provide weekly reporting against KPIs for various marketing channels (EDM, social media, etc.)
- Research leads for newly identified target segments
Ideally, you will be:
- A creative thinker and a quick learner with a positive attitude
- Well-versed with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) including content creation and hashtag optimisation
- A university or polytechnic student or fresh graduate majoring in mass comms/advertising/marketing or related degrees
- Equipped with excellent written, editing and verbal communication skills
- A team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and collaborate with team members from sales, events, IT and design
- Able to edit videos, with at least basic knowledge of video editing programmes (eg. Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects)
- A self-starter who can contribute fresh marketing ideas and a can-do mentality
- Passion for diving, the natural environment and/or marine conservation is a plus!
Candidates must be able to commit for a minimum of 3 months from November 2020 to February 2021.
