Job Description

Role: Controlling/Finance Intern

• Undertaking controlling responsibilities within a trading environment with turnovers of U$120 million, encompassing multiple Business Units (BUs) across the group and serving as the regional service hub for functional support in SEAANZ.

• This role requires assisting and offering support to Site/Entity controllers within the Controlling team.

What you will do:

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports, including the Sales Margin Report, Sales Price Report, Fixed Cost Analysis, Logistic Cost, Working Capital, and Business Unit (BU) Profit & Loss (P&L).
  • Support the annual budgeting process by establishing a structured schedule and consolidating budget information.
  • Manage intercompany service agreements and oversee invoicing-related matters.
  • Manage Capital Expenditure (Capex) for the new manufacturing plant, specifically focusing on projecting tax depreciation.
  • Provide support in transfer pricing documentation and handle matters related to insurance renewal.
  • Assist in updating company policies to ensure compliance with internal controls and enhance overall internal control adequacy.
  • Assist in compiling government/statistical surveys on an annual basis.
  • Support in day-to-day financial operations, administration, and address ad-hoc assignments related to finance issues as needed.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate students in Y2-Y4 in a local university pursuing a degree in Accountancy or Business with a focus on Finance.
  • Able to commence immediately, for a period of 6 months
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills with a keen eye for details.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Pivot table functionalities.
  • Exhibits a positive work attitude and is highly self-motivated.
