Job Description

The Function:

Responsible for analyzing oil market dynamics, competitive analysis, end-use sectoral analysis, analyzing grade portfolios and demand supply scenarios to proactively suggest opportunities and highlight threats to the business.

Key Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with analysts and traders to translate business needs into solutions, ensuring data accessibility and ease of use and smooth insight sharing

• Work closely with analysts and traders to fulfill ad-hoc management requirements inclusive of data gathering, processing and visualization, in preparation of presentations catered for the C-suite and Management

• Build interactive dashboards to visualize market trends, supply-chain metrics, and risk assessments

• Automate report generation and distribute insights to stakeholders

• Utilize SQL or Python scripts to structure and optimize data storage, ensuring efficient querying for traders and analysts

• Develop robust ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from diverse APIs, including market price, shipment tracking, and supply & demand

• Develop models to analyze market trends, identify irregular trading patterns, find demand-supply gaps, and track cargo movement

Requirements:

• Only for students with the legal right to work in Singapore (No application of Work Pass)

• Proficiency with MS Office tools to embed analytics findings into C-Suite presentations

• Knowledge of oil/gas markets, international trade, or shipping operations

• Experience with API integration, web scraping, cloud services and BI tools

• Understanding of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL preferred

• Familiar with time-series forecasting and regression models
