Angels of Impact champions social impact by helping women entrepreneurs raise capital for their socially conscious businesses focused on eliminating poverty. At Angels, we target small-to-medium enterprises across Southeast Asia that face a credit gap known as the “missing middle”: they are not yet ready for traditional impact investing but beyond micro-finance. 

We are also launching a new cohort for our program – WISE (Women Impacting Social Enterprise). The program aims to facilitate collaboration between AI staff, and corporate volunteers and enable through our customized technical assistance to social enterprises to solve business challenges and get social enterprises funding ready.

Job Description

As our Finance Intern, you will be supporting the team in areas of finances and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team in coordinating & communicating with the various stakeholders in our community

  • Conduct business research on topics relevant to our social enterprises (but not limited to)

    • comparable business models

    • market size

    • product pricing

    • competitive landscapes

    • new markets

    • suppliers/vendors/logistics chain value

  • Assist in the preparation of program deliverables and tools

    • developing the scope of work with social enterprise

    • audit/accounting assistance

    • financial model development

    • account management-related work

    • pitch decks preparations

  • Develop a list of possible funding sources (institutional and individual), strategise and execute a plan to successfully fundraise

  • Support the team in determining the suitability of Angels of Impact investing in any of the ASEAN WISE Fellows

 

Requirements

  • Finance/Economics background, Business Management background

  • Interest in Social Entreprises

  • Interest and passion in helping to elevate women, indigenous and marginalised communities

  • Skills in the following software: Mircosoft Word, Google Suite Tools, Canva
