Altonomy Pte Ltd – Finance Intern (Fintech, Cryptocurrency)

Position Summary

Altonomy is looking for a finance & accounting intern to participate in building up a lean and efficient middle office infrastructure for the firm. In this role, reporting to the finance lead, the candidate will gain the opportunity to learn how financial systems are built up from the fundamental level and gain invaluable insights to the rapidly developing global cryptocurrency industry.

Job Description:

• Trade processing, confirmation and settlement oversight. Assist in the daily operations function, ensuring accurate portfolio reporting and systems processing
• Facilitate proper bookkeeping, records, and profit/loss analysis for Altonomy's various services and departments
• Maintain reports and databases that support trading and compliance
• Assist in the preparation, analysis, and management of financial data dashboards

Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred
• Open to students seeking an internship
• Prior experience in startups or financial institutions would be welcome

Skills/Abilities

• Detail oriented and comfortable dealing with confidential and sensitive information
• Being able to deliver results at the highest standard under deadlines
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and organized
• Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
• Prior knowledge about blockchain and cryptocurrencies would be beneficial
• Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets
• Prior experience with accounting software like Xero would be a plus
