Job Description

Intern, Performance Management and Cost Controlling (6 Months, Immediate Start)


This role has 2 primary responsibilities as follows:

  • Assist in driving the AZAP, Planning Dialogue (PD), Monthly Management Reporting, and other processes that are key to monitoring and improving the Business Performance of Allianz Asia Pacific (AZAP).
  • Assist in upholding effective budget and cost controlling mechanisms within the organization. Taking responsibility for the monitoring and bringing costs under control as well as establishing effective cost controlling procedures to meet company budget targets.

The team’s mission is to steer accelerated value creation in Asia Pacific as Group’s growth engine.

  • SD/PD processes: Assist in coordination of SD/PD with local Operating Entities (OEs), AZAP functions and Group Centers to complete the AZAP SD/PD processes.
  • Monthly Management Reporting: Working with regional Finance/Actuarial and Life teams and OEs to complete management reporting as part of the monthly closing process to provide true business insight, enabling business decision making.
  • Managing the month end/quarter end closing working closely with the offshore team
  • guide offshore accounting team on month end closing
  • Finalise accrual list with offshore accounting team
  • review GL data
  • rolling projection to reporting
  • Serving as the Main contact point
    • Other functions in the Asia Pacific Office
    • Offshore accounting team

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills & experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of SAP and Concur a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, good interpersonal and relationship building
