Job Description

This is an opportunity to join an advanced technology AgriFood Tech startup in Singapore. We are looking for an intern with experience in experimental biology to assist us in running experiments related to our advanced technology aquaculture system. The role involves assisting in the design and execution of various scientific trials to test various parameters of our system. A background in biology, microbiology or other sciences which involves experimental design, testing and summarizing results is essential. Education and prior experience in marine biology or aquaculture are a plus but not essential. 

Applicants must be familiar with experimental design and execution as well as data analysis and statistics. Knowledge of R or Python data science libraries is critical to execute the role.

General Role Profile:

* Translate general research objectives into a research plan

* Develop the experimental design conditions and methods

* Execute the experiment, including setting up the systems, gathering the data and analysing and reporting it

* Calibrate and operate measurement instruments to collect and report readings

* Other ad hoc support, including research and analysis as required
