Job Description

We are a small consultancy firm which intends to expand our businesses in wills planning and mortgage advisory. We are looking for a Business consulting Intern to support business development and operational work across these areas.

The intern will gain hands-on exposure to business negotiations, basic contract drafting, client engagement, and professional liaison work, including working with mortgage bankers and lawyers. Selected interns may be given exposure to more sophisticated research related work, depending on performance and suitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential business opportunities and partners

  • Assist with lead sourcing and outreach

  • Liaise with mortgage bankers, lawyers, and external partners on engagements and follow-ups

  • Support preparation of proposals, engagement letters, and basic contracts

  • Assist in drafting or reviewing documents under guidance

  • Observe and support business negotiations and client discussions

  • Maintain records of leads, engagements, and correspondence

  • Conduct basic market and competitor research

  • Support ad-hoc business and operational tasks

Learning Exposure

  • Practical understanding of business negotiations

  • Basics of contract drafting and commercial terms

  • How wills, mortgage, and advisory engagements are structured

  • Professional communication with banks, law firms, and clients

  • Exposure to higher-level consulting work for selected interns

 

Experience is not required as training will be provided. However, we appreciate these attributes:

  • Strong interest in professional services or advisory work

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail

  • Responsible and able to handle confidential information

  • Comfortable with research, documentation, and coordination work

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
