As a Finance Intern, you will play an integral role in supporting the APAC regional finance team in their day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Management Reporting
- Prepare regular management reports, such as weekly performance updates and financial dashboards, to provide insights into key performance indicators.
- Assist in identifying trends and variances within the reports to aid decision-making processes.
2. Monthly Closing Process Support
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial closing activities.
- Help in reconciling accounts, reviewing journal entries, and compiling necessary documentation for audits
3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including gross margin deep dives and variance analyses.
- Support the team in creating forecasts and budgets for the APAC region
4. Competitor Intelligence and Benchmarking
- Research and analyze competitor data to produce actionable insights on market positioning.
- Assist in preparing benchmarking reports to compare financial metrics and operational efficiencies.
5. Process Optimization and Automation
- Participate in initiatives aimed at streamlining finance processes, such as automating reports and improving data visualization.
- Provide innovative suggestions for enhancing existing workflows and systems.
Job Requirement
We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals with the following qualifications:
Educational Background
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields. Data Analysis majors with an interest in finance are also welcome.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas) and PowerPoint. Familiarity with financial software or tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP) is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in numerical and written work.
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with regional teams.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.
- Interest in the APAC market and global finance trends will be considered an advantage.
