Job Description

 Duties

  • Research and analyse Asia Pacific regional policy topics, political trends, processes, and regulations across all ICT policy areas.
  • Provide on-going tracking and documenting of policy developments across multiple markets.
  • Assist in the development of office resources (marketing content, one-pagers, etc.)  to backstop client engagement, including both policy and business issues.
  • Assist in development of marketing materials and business development material.
  • Provide back-up administrative support.

Position Requirements

Essential

  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area.
  • A genuine interest in technology policy.
  • An interest in international trade, politics, business and market trends.
  • Demonstrated research abilities.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels.
  • IT literacy – at least intermediate level Microsoft office and other publishing platforms.
  • The ability to grasp new concepts quickly, and be self-sufficient.
  • Well organized, highly motivated, and proactive in finding ways to get things done and meet professional goals.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple requests, sometimes changing priority mid-stream.
  • Effective time management skills.

Desirable

  • Graduate degree or candidacy for graduate degree.
  • Fluency in additional foreign languages, especially Asian languages.
  • Previous consultancy and/or technology policy experience.
  • Previous work experience in Asia.

The internship is based in Singapore. This is an opportunity for growth and development, and the position includes remuneration on an hourly basis. The internship would be for an initial term of three months. We are open to flexible schedules, but would prefer a candidate who is available in the office at least 16 hours per week.
