THE SEARCH: FINANCE ASSOCIATE

Accela is looking for an energetic and self-starting Finance Associate who has the ability to support our team with finance and bookkeeping services. This individual will work closely with our team of finance professionals to deliver world-class service and support to our clients.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to support bookkeeping clients
  • Delivery of end-to-end accounting services including:
    • Cash and fund management
    • Accounts payable and payments processing
    • Bank reconciliation
    • Monthly reporting including P&L, balance sheet and budget variance
  • GST registration, quarterly filings and maintenance
  • Annual compliance including corporate tax filing and employee tax filing
  • Payroll processing and preparation on income tax reporting

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has 6 – 12 months experience, either full time or internship acceptable
  • Accountable and adopts a ‘business-owner’ work mentality
  • Has excellent communication skills and can engage with a diverse group of people
  • Growth minded – wants to win and see a business succeed and grow
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Takes initiative to problem solve quickly and with minimal disruption
  • Flexible and has an ability to multi-task in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Highly process and solutions-oriented

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or related field
