We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer (AI) Intern to join our team, with a primary focus on supporting AI-related initiatives. In this role, you will work on Python-based development for Application development or AI initiatives and automations, while also gaining exposure to Microsoft Power Platform for low-code solutions and Power BI for building visuals and dashboards. This internship is a great opportunity for someone keen to build hands-on experience across the Software Development, AI and automation technology landscape.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the design, development, and testing of AI-driven applications and use cases, while learning to apply low-code and data visualization tools. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, and grow your skills across Python development, Power Platform, and Power BI.

Responsibilities of a Software Engineer Intern

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of applications and scripts (Python-based) supporting AI-related initiatives and other application implementation.
• Support the building, testing, and integration of AI powered features and proof-of-concepts.
• Help translate user stories and business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
• Support the development and maintenance of RESTful APIs for application and automation use cases.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support application development, AI model integration and evaluation.
• Build low-code automation and applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Create visuals, reports, and dashboards using Power BI to support business and technical reporting needs.
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Follow code quality, security, and versioning standards.
• Participate in Agile development processes including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Maintain documentation of code, experiments, and system architecture.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of Python, with the ability to write clean and readable code.
• Interest and willingness to work on AI-related tools, frameworks, and platforms.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and application integration concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
• Keen interest in learning Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) for low-code development.
• Keen interest in learning Power BI to create visuals and dashboards from data.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud-based services would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Git for source control is a plus.
• Interest in working within Agile environments.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and eager to learn, with the ability to manage tasks independently.
• Fast learner with a strong willingness to adapt to new tools, platforms, and technologies
