Wordweed Studios is an advertising and production company founded by Brenda (@wordweed) who’s been in the social media scene for over a decade, creating engaging, story-driven content across beauty, travel, lifestyle, fashion and food.
Video Editing Intern: Primarily video editing. Occasional assistance for shoots, event photography & videography in person. Paid per month or per deliverable.
Freelance Editor: Solely video editing. Fully remote, doesn’t have to be based in Singapore. Pay per deliverable.
Note: Video editing experience is absolutely mandatory. Preferably on CapCut. You must be able to show us the quality of work you’re capable of! You’ll be responsible for bringing Brenda's vision to life through clean, creative edits that capture attention and emotion — whether it’s for daily reels, travel vlogs, or global brand campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Edit primarily short-form and occasional long-form videos for social platforms, approximately 3-5 reels a week
- Occasionally deliver same-day edits for time-sensitive content when needed
- Maintain consistency in tone, pacing, branding and storytelling
- Collaborate remotely with clear briefs and creative direction in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience with video editing and proficient in video editing software — preferably CapCut and Final Cut Pro X
- Able to commit for at least 3 months
- Able to work with same day turnaround for time-sensitive content (possibly on weekends too, but it will be infrequent)
- Creative mind with a strong sense of visual storytelling and a good eye for social media trends
- Chronically online with an avid interest in content creation and social media
- Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working independently
- Open to feedback and guidance on editing style and branding
