STUDIO+65 is a newly formed team that drives creative production strategy and innovation in the growth formats of digital video and audio. Based in our new state-of-the-art studio facilities spanning 10,000+ square feet, the growing multidisciplinary team collaborates across newsrooms and functions to spearhead and uphold the creative production values and digital communication goals of SPH Media.
The Intern, Audio & Video Editing, will work closely with his mentor and supervisor and is responsible for creatively combining sight and sound to advance editorial storytelling – strategically weaving video footage, audio elements and graphical assets to achieve creative excellence in service of the project’s or part of the project’s vision. As part of the AV Editing team, he/she will collaboratively create as part of our in-house team to bring ideas to life through audio video editing.
The intern will be part of the STUDIO+65 team and reports directly to his/her mentor (AV Editor) and supervisor (Lead, Post Production).
Key Responsibilities:
To assist the AV Editors and Finishing Editors in projects and/or take on solo projects when necessary.
To learn and be exposed to a “real world working environment”, understanding and see how a production studio and post-production facility function, bringing a production project to its fruition.
To continuously learn and improve one’s skills and knowledge.
To collaborate with various creative and production team members ensuring project objectives are met and that they are delivered on time meeting quality standards.
To edit visually appealing and dynamic audio video projects across platforms and formats as and when required.
To use industry-standard specialized software to execute audio video editing.
Requirements:
Pursuing a diploma or degree in media, film/video post-production, or in a related field from any IHL.
Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Adobe CC Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro and/or Avid. Additional knowledge in Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve will be an added advantage.
Able to multi-task, time-manage and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A team player who communicates and collaborates well with others.
Keen interest in the media and entertainment industry.
Social media-savvy, familiar with the trend-setting social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram (Insta Story) will be an added advantage
Proficiency in English with another language e.g. Chinese, Malay or Tamil being an added advantage.
