This internship is designed to give students real exposure to the financial advisory profession. Over the course of Eight weeks, interns will gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and understand the day-to-day responsibilities of a financial consultant in Singapore’s dynamic financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Interns will be involved in:

  • Financial Literacy Training
  • Attend structured workshops on personal finance, insurance planning, retirement planning, and investment fundamentals.
  • Client Engagement Exposure
  • Observe real-life client meetings and learn how consultants conduct needs analysis and prepare recommendations.
  • Market & Product Research
  • Assist mentors with basic research on financial instruments, insurance solutions, CPF & tax planning concepts, and market updates.
  • Project Work
  • Participate in group projects such as case studies, financial planning simulations, or client-profiling challenges.
  • Sales & Communication Skills
  • Learn prospecting fundamentals, presentation skills, objection handling, and how to build rapport with clients.
  • Team Activities
  • Join agency activities, clinics, and reflection sessions to understand team culture, discipline, and performance habits.

 

Learning Outcomes 

By the end of the internship, participants will:

  • Understand the fundamentals of insurance, investment, and estate planning in Singapore.
  • Develop clearer insight into the career path of a financial consultant.
  • Build essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership.
