Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric individual to join our team as an Supply Chain and Operations Intern. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in managing the device lifecycle, from procurement and vendor relations to order fulfillment and customer support. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective assistance, troubleshooting issues, and building strong relationships. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop a diverse skill set in operations, customer service, and communication, while contributing to the success of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Operations:
- Manage the end-to-end device lifecycle, from procurement to fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. This includes:
- Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors; negotiate pricing and contracts; manage vendor relationships; and stay informed about market trends and new technologies.
- Fulfillment and Logistics: Process orders accurately and efficiently; manage inventory levels; collaborate with logistics providers to optimize shipping and delivery; and resolve any fulfillment-related issues.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and favorable terms.
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
- Receive inbound goods, verifying them against purchase orders, delivery notes, and agreed quantities.
- Safely transfer and store inbound goods in designated storage areas.
- Liaise directly with logistics partners to arrange timely pick-ups of goods.
- Confirm picked items meet fulfillment requirements before packing and handover.
- Match logistics manifests with parcels prepared for courier pick-up.
- Coordinate with courier to ensure on-time, accurate shipments.
Device Handling & Quality Control
- Inspect and diagnose devices before dispatch to confirm readiness.
- Inspect and diagnose all returned devices upon receipt.
- Send failed or faulty returns for repair and/or refurbishment in accordance with SLA.
- Ensure correct SKUs and quantities are issued to logistics partners.
- Work with the Customer Experience team on delivery escalations, amendments, and return-related issues.
Other Duties:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and policies.
- Participate in training programs or workshops to enhance customer service skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
