The Function:
Responsible for analyzing industry performance, competitive analysis, end-use sectoral analysis, analyzing grade portfolios and demand supply scenarios to proactively suggest opportunities and highlight threats to the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with traders and analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring data accessibility and usability.
- Develop robust ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from diverse APIs, including market price, shipment tracking, and supply & demand.
- Utilize SQL or Python scripts to structure and optimize data storage, ensuring efficient querying for traders and analysts.
- Maintain microservices on cloud platforms (Azure) for automated workflow.
- Build interactive BI dashboards to visualize market trends, supply-chain metrics, and risk assessments.
- Automate report generation and distribute insights to stakeholders.
- Build responsive React-based web apps and native iOS apps for trading analytics and dashboards.
- Develop ML models to analyze market trend, identify irregular trading patterns, find demand-supply gaps, and track cargo movement.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL.
- Experience with REST API integration, web scraping.
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services.
- Expertise in Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools.
- Experience with Git or other version control system.
- Experience with LLM, RAG, Agent and other AI technologies.
- Familiarity with time-series forecasting, regression models, and ML deployment frameworks
- Knowledge of oil/gas markets, international trade, or shipping operations.
