We are looking for a Growth Intern for ZumVet. Reporting directly to our Country Head, your core responsibilities will be to support the business development and marketing projects for ZumVet. You will also support multi-channel marketing activities, in particular, to raise awareness and drive sign-ups.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is proactive, organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner. Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform market research, identifying trends and market opportunities; Track data against revenue targets on a daily basis and provide the overall narrative and data-driven next steps/ suggestions. 
  • Support in writing business plans, administration work, eg. partnership proposals and market research;
  • Curate sales pitches and negotiate partnerships through professional communications with individuals/corporations through various channels, including phone, email, chat and text;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (strategy, marketing, operations) to ensure smooth business operations;
  • Identify growth opportunities within the industry and engage strategically alongside with the different areas of the business with a clear roadmap for execution;
  • Suggest potential changes, strategies and business processes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes;
  • Curate sales pitches, presentations, and marketing materials as required to implement business growth strategies; and
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the corporate development team

Learning Outcomes:

  • Ability to digest large data sets and share appropriate next steps 
  • Learn processes to develop structured emails while managing a pipeline of prospects and cultivate continuous new business opportunities
  • Learn to conduct market research, identifying trends and market opportunities
  • Learn to build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications
  • Gain exposure to developing and implementing business strategies with senior management

Requirements:

  • Able to commit on a full-time basis, 6 months preferred;
  • Fast learner and able to adapt to changes. Having a positive attitude and willingness to learn are important;
  • Communication skills are key - the ability to convince and to deliver are a plus;
  • A committed team player, responsible and able to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to meet deadlines; and
  • Experience in the pet/pet care industry is not a mandatory requirement, but a plus.
