Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Write clean and maintainable code, adhering to best practices for software design and architecture.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
  • Design and implement software solutions that meet user requirements and needs.
  • Learn and apply agile methodologies for software development.
  • Participate in team meetings and effectively communicate technical ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take charge of seeking out opportunities for growth and learning, without relying solely on pre-set schedules.
  • Assist your decided sub-team by maintaining regular communication to determine the best ways you can contribute.
  • Be in charge of critically observing our practices and direction and engage in constructive discussions about why, how, and should.
  • Demonstrate your ability to thrive under pressure, stay level-headed, and meet tight deadlines.

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

By the end of the software engineering internship, the intern should be able to:

  • Be exposed to real-world software engineering practices and tools used in the industry.
  • Be able to apply agile methodologies for software development and participate in team-based software projects.
  • Learn how to write clean and maintainable code, while adhering to best practices for software design and architecture.
  • Participate in code reviews and learn how to provide constructive feedback to other team members.
  • Gain knowledge and skills in designing and implementing software solutions that meet user requirements and needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and learn how to effectively communicate technical ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be exposed to new software technologies and trends in the industry, and be able to adapt and learn new skills quickly.

Role Requirements

  • Experience with React, Typescript, Node.js and/or mobile development (Android - Kotlin or iOS- Swift),
  • General knowledge of design and architecture; MVVM, MVC etc.
  • Understanding of cloud environments and microservices; AWS.
  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering in NTU, NUS, SUSS, SIT, SMU, SUTD, SIM GE 
  • A passion for learning about Spectator Sports beyond money and tech; social impact is necessary
