Job Description & Requirements
You will be exposed to one or more of these projects during the internship.1) Retrofitting of the 230kV GIS Partial Discharge Monitoring System Scope:- Identify faulty components or equipment of the system- Submit recommendation to reinstate the system on-line- Prepare scope of work and specification for the purchase of replacement parts and procure specialist service (if required)- Reinstate and commission the system2) Streamline Protection Relays Records Scope:- Create database system to organise all SI Test reports- Scan reports for electronic storage and easy access- Verify completeness of reports and compliance to ISO standard3) Assist in project for the replacement of Fire Alarm System for 230kV Switch House Scope:- Assist in the execution of the project and documentation- Prepare scope of work and specification for the replacement works- Assist in the supervision of contractors on-site4) Plant Reliability Studiesa) 230/400kV Switch House using Failure Mode & Effect Analysis- Understand the setup of 230kV Switch House (Circuit breakers & components)- Go through past case studies on switch gear faults- Identify other possible failure points - Provide recommendations to mitigate the risks- Review existing risk assessment of switch house
