Job Description

Major Functions:

This role is part of the Media team at WWF International Communications and Marketing Division based in Singapore, reporting to Media Relations Manager. The role is also part of the cross-functional Earth Hour global team.

Be part of a dynamic and diverse team - helping source content and stories from across our WWF and Earth Hour networks. As part of the global team you will have the opportunity to contribute fresh perspectives and help execute creative content in the form of blogs, photo stories, opinion pieces and more.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

● Support the team with media and issues monitoring and create regular news digest for the global network

● Write digital / web content (stories, news articles) and press releases

● Plan editorial calendar with Comms Manager

● Research and prepare reports on media engagement 

● Work with Internal Comms to source ‘best of’ stories from local Earth Hour teams and communities

● Write Earth Hour 2021 Timeline

● Manage and copy-write for Earth Hour Global blog

● Support broader teams’ requests at ad-hoc basis 

 

Required Skills and Competencies: 

 ● Interest in media and public relations

● Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must along with the maturity to work in a global, multi cultural environment.

● Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment

● Enjoys connecting with people with diverse perspectives and experiences

● Willingness to learn about the global Earth Hour campaign and conservation goals of WWF

● Interest in environmental and sustainability issues
