Job Description

Responsibilities

  •  Desk research on current scientific interests (using Dimensions, Web of Science, Prophy, and others)
  • Create regular reports on scientific trends based on above desk research, to present to Supervisor in Editorial Department
  • Familiarization with editorial processes for book and journals (excellent interns may be assigned production duties)

Requirements

  • Currently studying Diploma in any course under Applied Sciences or Engineering in a local polytechnic, preferably more scientific in nature
  • Recent graduates from any local Junior College will also be considered
  • No publishing experience is required, but interest in scientific publishing is needed (Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering), preferably in Physics. Applicants who are only interested in science research will also be considered.
  • Applicants should be highly motivated, independent, inquisitive, and willing to learn about growing fields in scientific research
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office software (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and online research
  • Experience handling big databases will be a plus
