Wilhelmsen Ships Service is seeking a process minded intern to be part of growing our 3D printing venture. The 3DP Digital Operations Intern will be working with multiple international internal and external stakeholders to set up a unique Supply Chain for 3D printed parts to be delivered to our customers’ vessels worldwide. This internship matches you, if you have the aspiration to become a Supply Chain or Logistics professional.
The 3DP Digital Operations Intern will have the opportunity to gain invaluable, hands-on experience by working with the operations department, collaborating with various global teams in different functional areas, as well as coordinating with external partners in developing products and services suited to customers in the shipping industry.
The 3DP Digital Operations Intern will report to Venture Technology Lead.
Who you are :
You are a student currently studying in University and preferably from Engineering/Computer Science or similar discipline.
You shall be able to commit for at least 3 to 6 months of full time internship.
What you will be doing:
- Map and design process flows.
- Seek out opportunities and propose enhancements in an agile environment.
- Hands on handling of operations procedures.
- Support the setup of worldwide delivery channels.
- Create Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) material for different stakeholders.
- Work with our customers to improve their order to delivery experience.
Required experience and skills:
- Must be proficient in MS office applications.
- Preferably some experience working with an ERP.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, production planning, and forecasting.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and well organized.
